We will soon be introducing trips that showcase various parks and gardens in Peninsular Malaysia to expand our range of services. Just refer to the following FAQs that we have gathered from our combined past experiences for your perusal.
Do I need to pay to enter a park or a garden in the country?
While some gardens and parks are under the jurisdiction and management of municipal council and government agencies, it does not mean everything is free. There may be small fees to be paid for entry and camera. Take note, private gardens would definitely charge for entry and photographic equipment.
Can I enter the park anytime of the day and throughout the week?
Some parks and gardens are open 7 days a week, but some would be closed at least a day for maintenance purpose. Usually, they are only open during day time. Please check for detail information on the opening hours and days for specific parks / gardens that you wanted to visit.
Is there interpretive signage or helpful guides in the park?
Frankly, not all parks / gardens will have proper interpretive signage for displaying the knowledge you may required. Most signage are simply plant labels and directional signs. Our advise is to approach the information centre and ask relevant questions, and if possible, get a map of the park / garden you are visiting. As for guides, you really need to call the park / garden and ask in advance.
I can’t walk too far but I still want to see the tropical flowers in your garden, is there any in-house coach to ferry us around?
Again, while some parks / gardens may have the facilities of tram to take visitors around the park / garden, you still need to find out which park / garden offers such services. Bicycles may also be available for rental for your leisure tour.
It’s my first time to Malaysia, now does every guides speak English or other languages?
If you follow group tours, you will most often guided by an English speaking tourist guide while other foreign language speaking guides are also available to serve specific tourist groups upon requests. Please check with relevant parks / gardens to arrange for guides who may be able to serve you before your visit if you are planning to travel independently without travel agencies or tourist guides.
I would like to see some of the interesting plants in Malaysia, can you tell me where?
This is very subjective, it depends on what you have in mind. Some interesting plants that can be found in our country includes rafflesia, pitcher plant, palms, herbs, andmany more. Speak to your travel agents, hotel conceirge, accompanying tourist guides as they may be able to help you out.
