Storks Fledged

Watch the short video taken by Weng Chun. You may click on HQ button for slightly improved quality but will probably slow down the video streaming if you are not on broadband internet.

Last Sunday, I was doing my routine monitoring on weekly basis on the painted storks. Surprisingly, most of the chicks have fledged and flew off from their nests. First nest, 1 chick still perching near the nest, second nest - zero, third nest, 1 chick hidden behind the leafs, while the parent is still incubating on the fourth nest. Apparently, there is another nest. 2 chicks were observed with 1 really trying hard to fly.
